- About SCCS
Brief History
Formed in 1999 and registered in 2001, Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society was formed by a group of parents who came together to discover ways they could support one another. Since then, the Society has provided support to over 1,350 families with children battling childhood cancer throughout Sarawak. Each year the society supports more than 200 families.
Support is given upon diagnosis, through to remission and survivorship. For bereaved caregivers, post bereavement support is given up to a year.
Support provided by SCCS is directed at helping the children and caregivers in all dimensions: Spiritually, mentally, socio-emotionally, economically and physically.
