A few year back, I went to Sarawak General Hospital Children ward to celebrate birthday with kids under the Sarawak Children's Cancer Society. The ward is nicer compared to other wards which I visited: there is actually a TV with cartoons running and pantry. Kuching is not really a big city but I actually know 3 teenagers with cancer and the amazing thing is SCCS actually extend their support to teenagers till the age of 18. I hope you can consider to donate and if you did, please keep the receipt as SCCS is a registered charity with the Malaysia Inland Revenue to claim you tax deduction. Thank you very much

I’m an active and competitive frisbee player and a very sporty person in general. Besides my corporate career, I also enjoy playing various sports and maintaining an active fitness lifestyle. In 2016, a precious 3-year-old girl, Hope, lost her fight with cancer at Sarawak General Hospital. Though she is no longer with us, her light still shines bright in our hearts. Cancer is a devastating battle no child or family should ever have to face alone. Today, we want to help keep Hope’s memory alive by making a lasting impact for other brave little warriors. We are proud to stand with the Sarawak Children's Cancer Society (SCCS) of growing hope together. Gilbert was diagnosed with AT/RT Brain Cancer in April'24, when he was only 10 months young. Initial diagnosis gave him a three to six months survival timeframe, if no treatment was administered. The Paediatric Oncology team from UMMC, Ward Personnel, Palliative Care and Hospice Malaysia provided their utmost best to support Gilbert's healing. Gilbert just turned 3 years in July'26. He has already spent 1/3rd of his young life in paediatric wards, coupled with intense therapy sessions to counter the effects of surgeries, chemotherapy & radiotherapy. We aim to share our experience to those in need, GoBald and to play our part in this fund raising effort as gratitude to those who have humbly assisted us, currently and in the past.
