Chris Cheng
I'm Chris Cheng, originally from Kuching, Malaysia. In December 2013, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a turning point that ignited my passion for cancer advocacy. Alongside dedicated individuals, I helped establish the Society for Cancer Advocacy and Awareness (SCAN) Kuching, where I currently serve as president. Through SCAN, we've organized cancer talks, awareness videos, and initiatives like World Cancer Day events and peer support programs. Despite the challenges of engaging stakeholders outside Malaysia's federal center, my focus remains on amplifying the voices of cancer patients and ensuring no one is overlooked. For those navigating similar journeys, my advice is simple: take each day as it comes.
